Jan Butsch is managing editor of travelgirl magazine, a newspaper columnist for The Story newspapers and the author of Just A Stage, a collection of humorous columns on parenting. An award-winning journalist, her work has also appeared in Elle magazine, Creative Loafing, Atlanta Intown, Atlanta Parent and the Fulton County Daily Report. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia. A native of Atlanta, she lives there now with her husband and two children.

Tom Murphy grew up in the Garden Hills neighborhood of Atlanta, where he got his start in the food industry by selling hot dogs out of a cart at Peachtree Battle Shopping Center. He graduated from Georgia State University where one of his projects was to develop a business plan; his plan was for Murphy’s, which he opened at the age of 21 in 1980. He lives in Atlanta with his wife and three children.
