ATLANTA SILVERBACKS TO CHALLENGE WORLD RECORD HOLDER
IN PUSH-UP CONTEST AT SANDY SPRINGS FESTIVAL

Soccer Players Aim to Top 166 Push-Ups in a Minute

ATLANTA (September 14, 2005) – Players from the Atlanta Silverbacks Soccer Team will be aiming for a different goal on Sunday, September 18 at 1pm, as they take on the pending World Record holder in the N Motion Push-Up Challenge at the Sandy Springs Festival.

Goalie Joe Barton and Defenders David Hayes and Greg Chevalier are practicing up for their chance to beat Lloyd Ward, who set the Push-Up World Record with 166 push-ups in one minute. Ward, age 57, is the CEO of Body Blocks Inc., an Atlanta-based company specializing in healthy and delicious N Motion Snacks and Energy Drinks.

The Silverbacks know they have their work cut out for them. In an impromptu practice round, they found out that 166 push-ups are a lot to do in one minute. “I'm ready,” said Joe Barton, coming off an excellent goalie season with the Silverbacks. “But that's a lot of push-ups! I hope he's tired when I finally get to him!”

His teammates echoed the same sentiment. “We're going to do our best,” said David Hayes, who scored 78 goals in two seasons at Wingate University. “But I'm with Joe! I hope Mr. Ward is tired!”

“Those guys talk tough,” said Ward, who set the World Record in May 2005. “But it's going to take some action to beat my record. I've got experience on my side, and I'm powered by N Motion. Bring it on, Silverbacks!”

The showdown will take place on Sunday at 1p on the Cornerstone Bank Stage at the Sandy Springs Festival. The stage is located on Hilderbrand Drive.   Fulton County Firemen from Station Number 2 in Sandy Springs will also be competing for the record.

In fact, anyone attending the festival over the weekend will have the opportunity to beat the World Record holder and win $1000 at the N Motion Tent, located in the Health Expo Center on Sandy Springs Circle. Public contests will be taking place all day Saturday and Sunday during regular festival hours. The Festival will be open on Saturday, September 17th from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday, September 18th from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The Push-Up Contest is free, but proceeds and donations from the Push-Up Contest will benefit the Atlanta office of the American Red Cross in its relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Katrina. N Motion is committed to making a donation based on the number of contenders and the highest combined total of push-ups.
