Bringing valuable experience as a reporter and newspaper owner to the PR industry, Chris Schroder founded Schroder Public Relations in 2002.
Prior to entering the PR world, Chris started three neighborhood newspapers in 1994: Atlanta Intown, Atlanta Buckhead and Atlanta North. He also worked for six daily Southeast newspapers. Chris was ad director for Fulton County Daily Report, creative director for The Atlanta Journal Constitution, promotions manager for The Charlotte Observer, and promotions director for The Greenville News. He has experience as a reporter for The Greenville News, The Augusta Chronicle, and Delta Democrat-Times.
In addition to serving as president and senior counsel for Schroder PR, Chris publishes, manages business matters and writes the Moments column for Saporta Report.
Chrisí work over the years as a reporter earned him numerous awards. He has also won design awards for print advertisements, and is a published author in Chicken Soup for the Fathersí Soul and Chicken Soup for the Romantic Soul.
Chris is actively involved in the community as a member of the Metro Chamber of Commerce board of advisors, HAVE Foundation board, Real Estate Prayer Breakfast host committee, Summer Economics Institute board of advisors and the Southern Architecture Foundation board.
A fifth-generation Atlantan, Chris graduated from The Westminster Schools and the University of Virginia. He is married to Jan Butsch Schroder and has four young adult children and stepchildren.
