PARKING LOT SAFETY TIPS

To ensure continued safety at Atlanta Financial Center, Hines, and the complex’s security team, SecurAmerica, have released parking lot safety tips for the month of September.

While Atlanta Financial Center is consistently ranked with one of the very lowest crime rates of Buckhead buildings, there have been reports of recent break-ins in other Buckhead business complexes.

SecurAmerica’s Rafiq Sayani said tenants should always :

  • Keep car doors locked and windows closed before you park
  • Place all valuables and packages in your car trunk, out of sight
  • Avoid parking in secluded areas
  • Carefully note the aisle numbers/letters of where you park
  • Keep your car keys in hand to/from vehicle
  • Limit the amount of time you spend idling in your car
  • Look around the outside and inside of the vehicle before getting in, making sure to check the backseat and front floorboard

At any given time, Atlanta Financial Center’s parking deck has 300 to 600 vehicles. The safest parking spaces are located in the front of the parking deck, by an entrance and in well-lit areas.

Rafiq said crime rates at the complex are “very low,” in large part due to the presence of security guards. “We go above and beyond to make sure our tenants are safe in the building. They are our number one priority. We monitor every entrance and exit to the building, in order to keep Atlanta Financial Center a safe environment.”
