Atlanta Financial Center morphed into a Hollywood "American Idol" set for the Hines Fall Tenant Event Oct. 14. The Level E parking deck transformed into a red carpet complete with paparazzi, television crews and autograph seekers as tenants feasted on barbecue and watched Atlanta Financial Center's "American Idol" contest.

After she was met by a Joan Rivers impersonator to answer the important "Who are you wearing?" Foy & Associates' Akina Dennis said, "I feel famous! The red carpet, the theme, I love it."

As C.V. Starr & Co.'s Gloria Rodriquez and Hope Williams finished their red carpet walk and waited for other coworkers to arrive, they were anxious for "American Idol" to start. "But we definitely won't be participating in the singing," Hope said laughing.

There were six brave contestants for the "American Idol" competition. Miriam Wilson, Jeremy Gragg, Jessica Barnes, Jerry Dyson, Eric Adams and Christine Zehner sang a mix of pop, rock and gospel. InnoSource Business Solutions' Jerry Dyson walked away with the grand prize, a $250 gas card. "This is the first time my coworkers are going to hear me sing," he said before taking the microphone. "I hope it's a nice surprise!"

Indeed it was. Jerry sang, "Stand" by Donnie McClurkin. Following his performance, impersonators Joan Rivers, Paula Abdul and Jack Nicholson collectively complimented Jerry. "I went from Joan Withers to Joan Shivers," Joan said.

Hines Membership Services Coordinator Tiffany Davis began planning the event over the summer, and even took time out of hosting to serve as Paula Abdul in the "American Idol" competition. "This event is a little different from our past events. Everyone has the opportunity to meet the impersonators on the red carpet and also see their coworkers take center stage in the Idol competition. It's not your typical day at the office," Tiffany said.

Other "famous faces" included Marilyn Monroe and Ryan Seacrest. An "L.A. Lakers" basketball court was set up, along with a "Beverly Hills" golf range, for tenants interested in playing sports.

Each "Idol" contestant received an iPod shuffle following the Oct. 14 event for participating.
