Have you ever wondered who that pretty face is every time you walk through the East Tower doors? If she reminds you of a model, that’s probably because she is.

Meet Anique Childrey. Since she began working as an Atlanta Financial Center Security Officer in 2004, she’s worked morning, evening and weekend shifts. “Right now I handle the morning shift,” she says. “I greet people coming in and out throughout the day and I control building access, monitoring who is coming into the buildings at all times.”

It might seem odd that this part-time model decided to get into security, but Anique says it’s a stepping stone. “It was something I was introduced to when I left Oglethorpe University, and it’s a secure job. I enjoy being in a positive environment.”

And for each tenant who thinks that Anique is just saying hello because that’s what she gets paid to do, she says you are wrong. “The most rewarding part of my job is the comments I get on a daily basis. People thank me for saying ‘Good morning’ with a smile, because sometimes I am the first person they interact with. I don’t really feel like this is a job, it's more of me just being myself. I love being positive and starting the day off with a smile.”

While modeling is one of her favorite activities, the Atlanta native also loves to run, read and hopes to one day become a journalist.
