July 4th Celebrations

On Friday July 4, Atlanta Financial Center will be closed for Independence Day. Access into the building and parking garage must be made via card access.

Building services, including HVAC, can be provided on this day by prior written request to Hines by July 3 at noon.

Tenants, visitors and Buckhead Club guests will watch the fireworks display from the drive lanes and parking decks. Due to a private event hosted by the Buckhead Club no parking will be allowed on Levels G, H and J.

If you plan to view the fireworks over Lenox from the parking deck, please provide Hines with your contact information by Thursday, July 3rd 2008. Upon entering the drive lanes on 4th of July, your name will be checked off the list by security. The following rules will apply for this event:

  • BBQ grills and propane grills are prohibited in the parking deck
  • For safety reasons, please refrain from using skateboards, roller skates, roller blades and bicycles
  • Pets will not be permitted on premises
  • As always, use of personal fireworks is strictly prohibited

Lenox Mall Fireworks Show

July 4 (begins at 5 p.m., free to public)

JW Marriott Hotel

July 4 (hotel rates vary, fireworks event free to public)
Connected by an enclosed promenade to Lenox Square shopping, JW Marriott attracts more than 200,000 people annually for Independence Day festivities. The event will feature live music, a military aircraft flyover, a “Kid Zone” featuring giant slides, an obstacle course and Lenox fireworks views.

Atlanta Centennial Olympic Park

July 4 (4 to 10 p.m., free to public)
Festivities will include children’s activities, arts and crafts, face painting, performances, inflatables and stilt walkers. Free musical entertainment begins at 5 p.m. with a finale by the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra (ASYO). The concert includes works by Francis Scott Key, Sousa, Copland and Tchaikovsky. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

Stone Mountain Park

July 3 to 5 (event free to public, parking $10 to $35)
Stone Mountain Park explodes with excitement in this annual Independence Day salute. Each evening begins with the 25th Anniversary Lasershow Spectacular featuring a special intro, and is followed by an amazing fireworks display right in front of the mountain. On the 4th of July, bursts of light will illuminate the sky as fireworks choreographed to music are shot from both the base and the top of Stone Mountain.
