More than 700 Atlanta Financial Center employees stopped by the North Tower Lobby June 18 for a special Tenant Appreciation Event featuring breakfast, live music, door prizes and the unveiling of Hines’ new marketing center.

From 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., tenants filled the hallways to sounds of harpists and blenders making fresh fruit smoothies.

Ty Benjamin, with SunTrust Capital Markets, said the free breakfast was something he couldn't miss. "I heard about it, and immediately got on my Blackberry and told about 30 of my coworkers. In fact, here come three people right now," he said laughing, pointing to a breezeway outside of the new marketing center.

Nearby, Susan Leykamm with Morris Manning & Martin was picking out fruit and speaking with Villa Christina Event Caterer Jerome Holliman. "A lot of people from my company are stopping by," she said. "We saw the fliers and wanted to see what was going on."

"We have a lot of things going on at Atlanta Financial Center, including the addition of City Club of Buckhead coming this Fall. This event is a great way for people to stop in, grab a bite to eat and ask us questions."

At 9:30 a.m., the names were drawn for the three door prizes. Cathy Ellington from Morris, Manning & Martin and Joshua Kelly from Oracle won free iPod Nano MP3 players. Lynette Goodman, also from Oracle, won a free MacBook Air Laptop.

For SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Managing Director Amy Evins, the event was a reminder of how far Atlanta Financial Center has come with its tenant hospitality. "I've been here for 13 years and it’s changed a lot, and for the better," she said. "Hines has really kept the facility up to pace with a lot of other business complexes in the area."

Hines will again host a Tenant Appreciation event this Fall, followed by a Holiday Party in December.
