ATLANTA FINANICIAL CENTER ANNOUNCES EXTENSIVE, UPSCALE RENOVATIONS IN PREPARATION FOR NEW CITY CLUB OF BUCKHEAD

Hines is pleased to announce the arrival of a brand new full-service club, the City Club of Buckhead, coming to Atlanta Financial Center this winter.  Hines and its partner and co-owner at Atlanta Financial Center, General Motors Asset Management (GMAM), will invest $6.5 million in renovations to complete the new club, which will feature 36,000-square-feet of business, dining, athletic and health club space.  The business and dining portion of the club will be located in the space currently occupied by the Buckhead Club, and the fitness portion of the club will be located in the space currently occupied by the Buckhead Athletic Club.

“Atlanta Financial Center has always featured a landmark business club; a prestigious destination for business and community leaders, and we plan on taking that to an entirely new level with City Club of Buckhead,” Hines Senior Vice President John Heagy said. “We will be completely rebuilding this space to bring the finest in dining and fitness to our tenants and the Buckhead community. We want the members of City Club of Buckhead to feel like this full-service dining and fitness staff is always a step ahead, always ready to meet their family and business needs.”

Renovations will begin on the 16,000-square-foot business, dining and entertainment portion of City Club of Buckhead in September.   City Club of Buckhead is a collaborative effort between 20First Hospitality, managers of the highly successful Villa Christina restaurant and venue, and Hines, which manages the Atlanta Financial Center complex.

With stunning views of downtown from the 18th and 19th floors of Atlanta Financial Center, City Club of Buckhead will exemplify 20First Hospitality’s LiveWell Concept, creating convenience by meeting and anticipating the personal and business needs of club members.  The club will also feature meeting and social planning, wine consultants, cooking classes, shopping, valet, entertainment and professional organizers.

Hines and 20First Hospitality have engaged the design firms of Chapman, Coyle, Chapman and Ferry Hayes & Allen Designers, Inc., both nationally recognized for designing private clubs, to implement the renovations in the dining club and athletic club and spa. The grand opening for the dining club is scheduled for mid-December.
