Gift of a Lifetime is the creation of Chris Schroder, a publisher, editor and award-winning writer in Atlanta, Georgia.

Chris has won numerous awards during a 25-year career in newspapers. Just recently he won first place in the 2001 Green Eyeshade Awards, presented by the Southeastern U.S. Society of Professional Journalists for inspirational columns he wrote about his mother, son and daughter.

In 1994, Chris started his own neighborhood newspaper company in Atlanta, focusing on positive profiles of people, businesses and cultural events. Begun out of his home with one computer, Schroder Publishing eventually grew to 18 employees and $1.6 million in revenue. Before that, Chris was a manager and/or reporter at six different daily newspapers. He is a graduate of The University of Virginia, where he majored in English and was an editor on the weekly newsmagazine.
